Behind You: A no-cost mental health program for F+B workers.
Southern Smoke Foundation provides access to no-cost counseling for food and beverage workers in Texas. Behind You is the first mental health program of its kind—for F+B, by F+B. Southern Smoke Foundation distributes grants to universities offering accredited graduate-level programs for psychology, social work, clinical mental health, or counseling. Dedicated student clinicians provide Behind You clients with up to 20 no-cost supervised counseling sessions (or up to six [6] months of counseling, whichever is reached first), guided by licensed clinical supervisor and the university program director.
SPACE FOR LOVE (SFL) is a support group for adult, women survivors of sexual trauma.
The purpose of SFL support groups is to provide a space of safe support for the ongoing healing of sexual trauma survivors. SFL support groups offer community, compassion and connection through meal share, a circle process, and resources for individual care. Resources for individual care (I.e. counseling and case management) are provided by a representative from The Advocacy Center Waco, a partnering community organization.

Over the years, Southern Smoke Foundation funds have been used to pay for essentials like groceries, clothing, and medications, and have covered the cost of rent, natural disaster damages, lost wages, and more. There’s no deadline for requests and no cap on the amount given.
Texas Food and Wine Alliance Culinary Grant Program
The Texas Food & Wine Alliance awards grants to selected organizations/individuals exhibiting culinary innovation that contributes to the Texas community in Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio. Since 2012, TFWA has given $528,500 to local culinary professionals, businesses, and nonprofits.
